fender tele. sweet.

its stood the test of time and its so versitile.. it can handle just about any genre imagineable.

dont get me wrong though.. the gibson is an extremely powerful guitar, but ive always felt very limited playing one. it has a very mellow, deep sound to it.. and i guess sometimes thats just not what you are looking for. although it works perfectly for 'rock' songs.. where you just need a heavy, powerful tone.

hmm. its all about preference.

Well I'll be the first to say I prefer Gibson. I've always liked the smoothness and sustain more. With a Fender I always feel a little hard pressed not to sound too jangly on rhythm. I guess I wouldn't mind a tele if I only had to play lead, but I feel I can get enough twang if I want it on the bridge pick-up of a Gibson (on my LP Double cut anyway).
